Membership Information

Interested in joining Rudis? Come to some of our events and let us get to know you. Contact the VP of Membership for more information as well. All levels of membership are expected to follow the Club Rules, listed below.

General Members

General Members have full voting privileges in Rudis. To be considered for general membership you must be known to members of Rudis, have a sponsor willing to speak on your behalf, and send in an application to the VP of Membership. Then you must attend three Sunday meetings prior to your application being voted on. General Membership dues are $90 for the first year and $45 to renew each year thereafter (all members must renew each year by January 31 regardless of the month they joined). You will be expected to attend as many of our General Membership Meetings as you can, which are generally held on the first Sunday of every month at Bar:PM. General Members are also expected to serve on committees, help at events, or generally contribute to Rudis in other ways.

Upon admission to the club and payment of initial dues, General members receive a black members-only shirt, large Rudis back patch, MACC patch, Rudis mug, and two Rudis friendship pins. These materials are covered by your first year dues. Other items may be added at the discretion of the Vice President of Membership.

Associate Members

Associate Membership has no voting privileges but only requires you to attend any three Rudis events before your application is voted on. You must be known to members of Rudis and have a sponsor willing to speak on your behalf. Associate Membership dues are $45 for the first year and $25 to renew each year thereafter (all members must renew each year by January 31 regardless of the month they joined). Associate Members can sit on committees and help with events. Associate Members are approved by a vote of the General Members.

Upon admission to the club and payment of initial dues, Associate members receive a black members-only shirt, small Rudis patch, Rudis mug, and one Rudis friendship pin. These materials are covered by your first year dues. Other items may be added at the discretion of the Vice President of Membership.

Club Rules

  1. Members must be over 21 years of age.

  2. No Fighting.

  3. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

  4. Prejudiced behavior will not be tolerated.

  5. Members must be in good standing in order to participate in any member benefits.

  6. Members must be in good standing to vote.

  7. The current Treasurer cannot have a pending conviction, or be convicted of a felony.

  8. Members’ behavior that jeopardizes the Rudis organization, its members, any surrounding bystanders, or causes damage to personal or public property will be subject to legal action.

  9. Members will not falsely represent the Rudis organization or present false claims against the organization or its members.
